Elevated Seating Comes to Europe: Our ORGATEC 2026 Recap
From industry leaders to ergonomists, Europe met the Vision Chair at ORGATEC 2026 in Cologne.
From 27 to 30 October, Levitask made its European debut at ORGATEC 2026 in Cologne, the leading international trade fair for the world of work. For four days, Hall 7.1, Stand E-065 was home to the Vision Chair and to a simple invitation: sit down and feel the difference.
Impossible to walk past
In a hall full of traditional office chairs and conventional seating, the Vision Chair stood out. Its form is unlike anything else on the market, and people noticed. Visitors stopped mid-aisle, curious about what they were looking at, and many came straight onto the stand, eager to give it a try.
Sixty seconds to change a mind
Elevated Seating is easier to feel than to explain. Visitors sat down expecting an office chair and stood up talking about their posture. The Vision Chair opens the hip angle the moment you sit, so the spine returns to its natural shape without lumbar pads or constant adjustment.
Praised by the industry
The reception was beyond what we hoped for. Representatives of some of the industry’s best-known names stopped by, tried the chair and praised the innovation behind it. More than once, we heard the Vision Chair described as the future of seating.
Ergonomists understood straight away what we are doing. For years they have looked for a real alternative to the conventional 90-degree chair, and many were excited to see a new way of sitting finally coming to market.
A German idea, coming home
The story of the Vision Chair began in Copenhagen in 1981, when German design student Klaus Kummer started asking why we sit at 90 degrees. Forty years later, Klaus was back in Germany, at our stand throughout the show, showing visitors how Elevated Seating works and answering their questions in person.
Europe is ready
Fresh from winning the Best of NeoCon 2026 Innovation Award in Chicago, we came to Cologne to find out whether Europe was ready for a new seating category. The answer was clear. Alongside industry leaders and ergonomists, we met dealers and distributors from across Europe, architects and workplace planners, companies equipping their offices, journalists, and some of our Kickstarter backers, who came to try the chair they helped bring to life.
What comes next
We are now following up with everyone we met and building the partnerships that will bring the Vision Chair to offices and homes across Europe. If we met at ORGATEC, thank you for stopping by. If we didn’t, we’d love to hear from you.
