Levitask Debuts the Vision Chair at NeoCon 2026

Forty years in the making, Levitask introduces the Vision Chair at NeoCon 2026. Discover how elevated seating is ending the era of 90-degree sitting forever.

Levitask, a wellness furniture company pioneering a new approach to the way the human body sits, makes its North American trade debut at The Mart, Booth 7-8088, June 7 to 10, introducing Elevated Seating, the first seating concept designed for all-day comfort at the correct hip angle.

CHICAGO, June 7, 2026. The conventional office chair has locked the human body at 90 degrees for over half a century. That standard was never designed around the human body. It was simply adopted, accepted, and never questioned. At 90 degrees, the pelvis tilts back, the spine rounds, and most people are slouched within the hour. The Vision Chair opens that angle to 115 degrees automatically, the moment you sit, and the spine corrects itself. No lumbar support. No adjustment. No effort.

“We are not presenting an improvement to the ergonomic office chair. We are presenting a replacement for it. The 90-degree seated posture is the problem. The Vision Chair eliminates it entirely. NeoCon is where the industry discovers what comes next, and we believe Elevated Seating is exactly that.”

The story behind the Vision Chair begins in Copenhagen in 1981, where a German design student named Klaus Kummer studied under Dr. A.C. Mandal, one of the first researchers to challenge conventional seated posture and ask why such an adverse way of sitting had come to be regarded as correct. Klaus dedicated his graduate project to the concept and, after years of designing for the commercial furniture industry, he eventually decided to go his own way to focus on his passion project. He filed his first patent in 2013, and spent the following decade refining the T-Mech™ mechanism through dozens of prototypes. NeoCon 2026 is the culmination of that forty-year obsession.

“Dr. Mandal asked a question in the 1970s that no one in the industry has ever properly answered: how did such an adverse way of sitting come to be regarded as correct? I have spent forty years working on that answer. The Vision Chair is it.”

How it works

The human body is not designed to sit at 90 degrees. In a natural standing or lightly reclined position, the hip angle is closer to 115 to 135 degrees, the same range the T-Mech™ restores the moment you sit down. The result is a posture the body recognizes, rather than one it has to fight against. The patented T-Mech™ knee-pivot mechanism opens the hip angle automatically to 115 to 120 degrees when the user sits, rotating the pelvis forward and restoring the spine’s natural S-curve. Conventional chairs compensate for a flawed geometry with lumbar pads and foam inserts. The Vision Chair corrects the geometry itself.

The practical result shows up within minutes and compounds over hours. Users sit longer without discomfort, maintain an upright posture without thinking about it, and arrive at the end of the day with less of the fatigue and back tension that define long hours at a desk. This is Elevated Seating: a fundamentally different relationship between the human body and the chair it sits in, one that works with the body rather than against it.

The Vision Collection

The Vision X features an adjustable headrest, recline up to 125 degrees, and optional 4D armrests. The Vision Y delivers the same core Elevated Seating experience in a streamlined format suited to office, hybrid, and mobile work environments. Both models feature polished aluminum frames with a stingray-inspired curvature, biodegradable TPU wheels, and a proprietary Anti-Slip Matrix™ seat surface that maintains posture in the elevated position. Available in Deep Coal and Cosmic Gray. Both accommodate users from 4’9” to 6’6” with a 300 lb capacity, and assemble tool-free in under ten minutes.
